mannequin fetish realised in film
i found this youtube trailer on one of the forums which i only check out once in a blue moon. essentially its a short edit of a longer short film about body image, though for a mannequin and doll fetishist its like a fantasy realised on film and makes use of the plot point in countless short fetish stories.
call me perverse, but it really calls to me and would love to see the entire film. it also has definite elements of the work of allen jones which i also love.

God, that's just beautiful!
Wow... I see how it really kind of speaks to the idea of an actual living breathing woman, set in contrast to the unfeeling plastic and fiberglass ideals she's surrounded by, entombing herself in order to seem more like the standard of beauty she cannot measure up to in the artificial. The sacrifice of the woman's form on the altar of fashion and all that.
Don't get me wrong. It was hot all the same. Just so melancholy and sad with the music and the little girl near the end getting the same indoctrination so young as the imprisoned woman watches.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a film like this where the woman WANTED to be in the mannequin? Or was made into one that resembled herself? With all those naughty little accoutrements we're used to in the fictions we peruse?
Don't mind me. I'm sad today. But hanging in.
