thigh high boots are so...

another scan from a UK newspaper fashion magazine. seems thigh boots are now back on the fashion runways in Europe where they're kinkier and thus soon to be seen on the trendy folk in the streets of the UK. or are they still stigmatized by the entire tacky Pretty Woman thing?

click on the photo to get better look at the boots on offer and the stunning prices. they're certainly not the cheap Pleaser brand PVC ones that saturate ebay. though i do wonder what would happen if a top couture designer took them and put their own name on them. would it be ok then?

a close up of the short article that accompanies the piece is above. i didn't find a working free OCR service on the web so didn't turn it into text. if someone is really bored then feel free to email me the text and i'll revise this entry.

Actually, there have been at least a few big name French and American designers that have had *very* high thigh boots on the market for a while now, with some of the usual suspects being Chanel, Guess, Stuart Weitzman, and Hugo Boss. One notable French designer with the most exquisite (and incredibly high) thigh boots that are practically a second skin and molded to your legs is Jean Claude Jitrois, but his boots are incredibly high end, and I believe they start at $2000 and up! They are only available in his very exclusive boutiques.

If you look at the scanned picture of the boots in your post, there are some pretty high end designers in there, such as Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Chanel (of course!), Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen, and Halston. Look at the prices - these high end thigh boots usually start at around the $1000 mark (after converting from pounds) and go way up from there!
