Legacy of Timeless Beauty - RIP?

seems the updates at legacy come slower and slower each time. i'm wondering if the golden age of asfr / doll / mannequin fiction is long over now?

was it the tired cliche's that killed it all off or the advent of graphic and image heavy net sites and pay fetish models?

who knows..., but its still a great archive to be revisited again. so submit your favourite stories and authors in the comments. ones that tipped you off into all this doll play....

and i'll add mine in there too.

xx

Myself, I find writing in this genre to be a very draining experience or many reasons. Regardless of what some say, you can't write in a vacuum and that's what many in this genre who contribute exist in....

For me, I've left writing for now and I don't if/when I'll return....or if anyone will notice that much....

Curious as to what you mean by that.

The problem I'm finding is that there are no new ideas, just new stories rewriting the same concepts.

That tends to happen in every genre. There aren’t many original ideas, just a matter of working them around. Unfortunately, professional writers have problems trying to stay fresh and original, so to expect people writing stories for the hell of it not to befall the same problems—well, it’s almost impossible. I’m suspecting that the reason the first stories were “new and shocking” is because there wasn’t anything else like them at the time. Add a few years to that output, and the new and exciting becomes the mundane. It happens with movies, it happens with music, it happens with TV . . . it happens here.

i'd have to agree with you tsg. still while the initial luster maybe subdued the interest still remains. at least for me. still when i read stories by my fave writes such as yourself echo's of it's original effect on my mind and libido return to keep me thinking and fantasizing for quite awhile.

TSG, you get feedback for your stories but many people who write/draw/manip get little to nothing in any kind of acknowledgement. Most of this niche is populated by anon ghosts who drift in, grab new material and drift out. Over time, this can frustrate even the most veteran of contributors....

I do speak with a little experience in this regard....

Although the general lack of response is annoying at times, I write my stories just to express myself and don't expect much feedback.

Just as well as there rarely is any (chuckle)

As far as new ideas go, that is true to an extent. But a few gems show up, and even the same scenarios can be interesting if written well, or if the manip is done well.

When I've written in the past (and maybe in the future), I've done so expecting no feedback. When I write, I write for myself and no one else. If I get feedback, great. If not . . . such is life. I figure that the times I didn't get feedback, it's because I didn't strke a chord with the people reading my work--in which case a lack of feedback is bettr than "Yur shit suks."

I understand the lack of feedback can be a pain, but when I realize no one is commenting on my work I remember what Stephen King once said (paraphrasing): "If you write because you want to write, you're a writter. If you write only for money, you're a monkey."
