one version was played in l'opera national in 1994 with approximatively 30 identical dolls... i don't remember who directed this opera for scene. It was very interesting.
Anyway, Coppelia is a masterpiece. You MUST see that. For all doll lovers

Those who live in big citys, especially NY or London should actually GO to the ballet.Choose a Mainstream Company and a large production, sit close to the front.Ballet is Full of doll like gesture, not to mention lots of {sexy} ballet shoes! The French Comic Ballet of the 18C is very visually rewarding.
Theres nothing like seeing the real thing.
