surgery to make you oh so perfect....

an amazing series of fashion photo spreads of women undergoing beauty surgery proceedures with before and after shots here

pitty the scans are such low res. maybe find the issue and do better ones?

if there was just one more stage afterwords where they're transformed into plastic or latex doll....

Although the photo spread looks to be from the Italian edition of Vogue, and thus doesn't necessarily say much about the American obsession with plastic surgery, I still find it interesting how things are portrayed in that shoot.

Without exception, each of their black and white so-called "ugly" 'before' photos had the girls wearing glasses (and indeed, the same pair of prop glasses at that). Kind of a shame, as a pair of glasses can make a pretty girl look even cuter sometimes...

I also liked how the international symbol for "I just had plastic surgery" is apparently a bandaged head. :-)

I've worked with models so I have seen the before and after just from hair, makeup and the like. Doubt any surgery is needed.

My last shoot with my mini model Anna who is 5foot nothing shows what time with lights, pose, hair and makeup and some styling will do.

it kinda gives me the creaps this whole doctor= beauty relationship.(its a bit of a scam ,really)
Ive friends who are SO much more beautifull than these 'after' the sugery Vouge models.Going to show..you cant buy beauty. Doll transformation is a different thing & way more interesting- just give it a year or five and no doupt latex skin might be an option.

yes i agree..theres more to these shots than the simple 'what is plastic surgury' notion.I now think its kinda' cool.I often post things here then go away and think about things and change my mind! I hope its ok to use this as a bit of a forum too (A.L?).The layout is just so much more inviting & thought provoking, than a regular forum post place.

They might not be latex or plastic, but they look quite like dolls, with those so similar faces...
