Make overs for dolls

i didn't even know that it was possible or there was a market for it. but if you have a my size barbie and getting tired of her and wished she was cher or even a star trek character then get over too; www.barbieville.com

now if i were shipped to her - could she make me over into a barbie?

Hmm, thinking of the logistics. :)

Problem is, My Size Barbies were made for little girls, of course, so we are talking about a Barbie that stands at most three or so feet tall....

Now, if we could get a My Size Barbie made to *double* that size, to six foot or so, and kept it all proportional, then the face would be closer in size to an adult female head...in which case what could be done is that the hair could be copied to a wig, and the face pattern (since it is likely airbrushed on, or perhaps even silk-screened directly to plastic) could likely be replicated to a second mask medium, say silkscreened on a lycra zentai mask of the correct base color....I have seen doll's eyes and mouths silk-screened on zentai masks before so it isn't out of the question....

Hell, if someone had cash to burn and the time to spare, one could take a latex hood, one of those with the heart-shaped clear latex face element, get the opaque head bit in Barbie pink, and then airbrush the colors of the mask element directly on to either a) the clear bit of the mask itself, or b) directly onto the model's face under the hood, with the clear bits mainly adding shine and protecting the makeup job....

(this reminds me of a devious idea I had regarding a pink/clear hood like I described above, and the improper use of some of the new inexpensive vinyl based lipsticks coming out...use the red for the lips, then apply the pink liberally over the rest of the face, as much as is safely possible...the effect should be to blur the visual line between where the shiny pink latex of the opaque hood bits end, and where the clear bits of the heart-shaped 'cutout' begin)
