if I understood what you want, it is not that hard. you should go to "customize" on the right-top of the blog select the "layout" tab, and click on "add a gadget" in the place you want the logo. there you have to select the gadget "picture" and fill the fields properly. there you can upload an image from your computer and in "Link" you set the url you want to point to.
i want to add icon / gif links on the right hand side of the blog but have no earthly idea how exactly as i need to tinker with the actual code.
